Review Tour: Just Stay by Michelle Abbott

Title: Just Stay
Author: Michelle Abbott
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: May 16, 2014
Tour Host: DRC Promotions

The last place Pia wants to be is on a family vacation in a sleepy Cornish village. She's anticipating two weeks of mind-numbing boredom. Then she meets Trey, a local boy. He's absolutely gorgeous. The trouble is — he knows it. He's arrogant and egotistical, and Pia intends to avoid him at all costs. But Trey is not the kind of guy who gives up easily. When he sets his sights on Pia, her resistance is futile. It's just a holiday romance, some light-hearted fun, right? But one of them is about to discover that still waters do, indeed, run deep. When what lurks beneath the surface finally erupts, the consequences may prove to be catastrophic.
For ages 17+ due to sexual content and strong language

If you are looking for a book where the young adults that are the topic in the book are shallow and think of nothing but partying, then this book is not for you.
However, if you are looking for a book about young adults that will break your heart as the whole story unfolds, then this book will be right up your alley.
Pia has gone on vacation with her family before heading to Uni, she fears she will have a horrible time since she just knows there will be no one for her to hang out with. Then she meets Trey and sparks fly, not romantic sparks mind you, but sparks none the less.
The back and forth banter between these two had me laughing so hard at times it was hard to read with tears running. But before long, the feelings turn from antagonism to love.
Trey is a wonderful and precious young man who stays at home taking care of his ailing mother, so he doesn't have the ability to just run out with his Pia the way he wants to. The agony he's going through is a hard pill to swallow at times because of the circumstances surrounding him.
More than once that my tears of laughter were quickly turned into tears of sadness at the things happening to Trey, you find yourself wanting to find his momma and beat her down regardless of what she has going on.
After all that Trey goes through it was wonderful to read about these two young lovers going for the ever lasting they both deserved.
It was a beautiful thing to see Trey have someone return his love the way he deserved.
I thank the author for the opportunity to read and review this.

Michelle Abbott lives in the UK and hates describing herself in 3rd person.
She's a self-published author who loves to write new adult romance about heroes who begin as the underdog and are protective of their girl.

She's an avid reader of romance, is addicted to coffee and loves wine and chocolate, so yeah, not the most healthy eating and drinking habits :-) She spends way too much time online when she should be writing. She collects teddy bears and occasionally knits a couple of rows on a sweater she started years ago, which she may eventually finish in time to wear for her funeral :-)
