By Tyffani Clark Kemp
Published: August 15, 2014 by SideStreet Cookie Publishing

LeKrista never thought Roman would kidnap her, but it seems there's no depth to which he won't stoop. She's stuck in a fortress in the middle of only God knows where with no way to contact her family or her new fiance and let them know she's alright.

To add insult to injury, Roman has brought her arch nemesis to keep her company. Forced to make friends with Eddy, the man who has made her life miserable for years, she bides her time until a rescue can be arranged.

But unrealized feelings for her vampire captor make things complicated. Or perhaps it's Stockholm Syndrome. She can't really be sure.

Just to make matters worse, the vampires are ready to go through with their plan to rule the world with an iron fang, and once again, she's caught in the middle of the war for power. The truth of her involvement is becoming clear, but she may lose more than her freedom in her quest to stop the the powerful undead on her own.

Excerpt

I teetered on a ledge high above the floor. If I fell, I'd either be paralyzed for the rest of my life or I'd die. Neither option was ideal.

"What the hell are you doing up there?" Roman's shocked, amusingly angry voice made me jump and I almost lost my balance.

"I'm trying out my Evel Knievel bit. What do you think?" I let go of what I was holding, only balanced on my feet on the narrow ledge.

Roman's arousing, spicy scent and gentle arms wrapped around me. I should have known he'd take the chance to show off his super powers and get close to me. This wasn't the reaction I'd hoped for at all.

"Which one did you want?" he growled in my ear.

I pointed to a book on the shelf that I had no interest in. His long, deft fingers plucked it down for me and he slowly lowered us to the floor.

"I would tell you not to do that again, but you would only do it to spite me. If you make me give you a command, neither one of us will be happy. Got it?"

I nodded and swallowed, but the lump in my throat had nothing to do with fear of him making good on his threat. The way his lips brushed my ear made my insides quiver. He was intent on proving to me just how many feelings I had for him and where exactly they were found on my body.

Roman pulled away from me, but when I say pulled away, I mean he made sure I knew exactly where he'd been touching me and how good it felt. And how much I missed it. I don't know how he did it, but he was good. So very, very good.
