Blog Tour and Review: Uncivilized by Sawyer Bennett

Synopsis
**Warning: This book is a wild, sexy beast of a read. 18+**

Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I fuck with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests.

Savage man, loner, warrior… I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation.

Now I’ve been discovered. Forced to return to a world that I have forgotten about and to a culture that is only vaguely familiar to my senses.

Dr. Moira Reed is an anthropologist who has been hired to help me transition back into modern society. It’s her job to smooth away my rough edges… to teach me how to navigate properly through this new life of mine. She wants to tame me.

She’ll never win.

I am wild, free and raw, and the only thing I want from the beautiful Moira Reed is to fuck her into submission.

She wants it, I am certain.

I will give it to her soon.

Yes, very soon, I will become the teacher and she will become my student. And when I am finished showing her body pleasure like no other, she’ll know what it feels like to be claimed by an uncivilized man.

Review
No matter how hot Sawyer Bennett’s books are, what I love about all of them is that her characters have soul. They not only exist for the sake of the story, but they all have deep humane quality that pulls the reader to the story. And Uncivilized is not the exception to the rule.

Zach’s parents died while on a missionary trip to the Amazon jungle leaving him alone in this world. The eldest of the Caraican tribe adopts Zach as his own and for the past 18 years he’s been living with the tribe, though not always accepted by the other men.

After years of looking for Zack, Randall, his godfather, finally locates him and sends Dr. Moira Reed to help him transition into the modern world. To bring him back to a place he hasn’t returned to in 18 years, a place he remembers little to none of. Moira takes to the task like any other anthropology assignment, but upon meeting Zach and seeing him interact with the people of the tribe, specially the women, she feels a pull to him, an attraction she doesn't know how to explain.

Returning to civilization becomes a real challenge for Zach. He’s an extremely intelligent guy so absorbing all the new knowledge is not the problem, his real turmoil is the feelings of betrayal towards the people of his tribe by adapting to this new world. Moira tries to teach him the basics but leaves the more delicate subjects, like sex, for Zach to learn on his own using the internet. His awakening to the way things work in the modern world he’s been forced to return to is hilarious, fascinating, and endearing at times.

For Moira, Zach has become a struggle she doesn’t know how to deal with. He’s supposed to be an assignment, nothing more, nothing less, but he’s also a man she’s very attracted to. She wants to experience what she saw happened in the jungle, she wants to be on the end of that animalistic side of Zach.

The chemistry between Zach and Moira is incredibly sensual, their sexual encounters are raw, erotic and full of passion. The custom of his tribe is to put the woman you want on her knees and to take her that way, but through the magic of the internet, Wikipidia and Google he discovers that there are many more ways to have sex with a woman, all of which he’s eager to try…with Moira.

While most people, and myself to a degree, see this book as a hot erotic tale, I also see this story as the struggle of a man to belong, to finally become accepted as a member of a society. There are many moments where we see that lost little boy wondering where he belongs, it’s incredibly sad to see such a strong man lost to his own insecurities.

This is a well written book, it’s unique in its own way, and another great tale from the incredible talented Sawyer Bennett. This erotic tale is somewhat uncharted territory for this author, but in my opinion she did a fantastic job navigating this genre for the first time. Please note that this book has very graphic sexual content, so if you’re on the prude-ish side of the coin this is not the book for you, but if you’re in the mood to learn a thing or two or to simply enjoy the ways of the jungle, this is definitely the book you’ve been waiting for.

*** As a side note I want to add that this is a work of fiction, if you’re looking for an accurate tale free of inconsistencies about the tribes of the Amazon, I recommend you buy yourself a history book ***
