#ReviewTour: Hollywood Playboy by Natasha Madison

Jessica An entertainment journalist was the last thing I thought I would be doing. I thought once I got my degree, I would be reporting on stories that made a difference, but now all I do is report on who broke up with who and who is dating who. I was over it. Then I got my next assignment. He’s Hollywood’s bad boy. He works hard, and he plays even harder. He’s rude, he’s condescending, and he’s made it known he doesn’t want me on the tour. With one month on the road with him, two things might happen One, I may never work in this industry again. Two, I may just be like everyone else and fall for Hollywood’s Playboy.

Mr. Playboy is the first book of the Hollywood series.

Tyler is the latest "IT" male star in Hollywood. He's had his share of scandals, affairs, and successes, but he hasn't found a woman he can trust wholeheartedly and who he can be who he really is. Jessica is an entertainment journalist, who gets first dibs on all the hot gossip going around in Hollywood. She's had a few encounters with Tyler before, but let's just say they were less than stellar. Because of the nature of both of their jobs, to say that they don't like each other much is a bit of an understatement. When Tyler and Jessica find each other in close quarters for a whole month, either sparks will fly or they'll kill each other.

This is a slow burn, enemies to lovers story with characters that are very likeable and easy relatable. I LOVED Jessica, that girl had fighting power and some serious back bone, even when she was hurting inside. This is an heroine that was well written, who didn't play victim but didn't allow to be disrespected by anyone. I think Tyler was misunderstood most of the time, a life in the public eye is not an easy life for anyone, but especially when you're judged after every movement you make. We really got to see that being a big star is not only hard work but losing some of you to a world that might think know you but really don't.

Hollywood Playboy is sassy, joyful, with a little angst for good measure, steamy, and swoon worthy when it came to Tyler wooing Jessica. I'm looking forward to the next book of this series, Hollywood Princess. Good job, Natasha!

 About the Author

When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...

Anton by Brenda Rothert

Chicago Blaze, #1

Book Blurb
He’s known as Father Anton to his teammates—the brooding, sexy captain of the NHL’s Chicago Blaze has a reputation for…not having a reputation. Just like his diet and sleep routines, celibacy is part of Anton Petrov’s on-ice mojo. Or so they say. Anton stays mum on the subject. If the world thinks he chooses to abstain from sex, so be it. Better that than the truth getting out: there is a woman he burns for, but he can never have her. She’s his teammate’s wife, after all. Mia Marceau is finally on her own. Now that she and her husband are living apart, she’s finding the peace she was desperate for. She spends her days in classes and late nights bartending, making her own way in the world at last. After what she’s been through, as long as her husband leaves her alone, she doesn’t plan to rock the boat. He still has the power to hurt those dearest to her, and she can’t demand a divorce with such a high cost. A chance encounter with Mia has Anton hoping for a shot he never thought he’d get. And while she’s drawn to the intense, serious hockey center, Mia’s leery about playing with fire. That’s all Anton has ever known for Mia, though—a living, burning desire that won’t be denied—no matter the cost.

Add the book to Goodreads

For me a book is not only about how much sex the author can write between the pages and how many times the two main characters hook up, but about their journey and the road blocks they have to conquer to finally get their HEA. Anton is one of those books, don't get me wrong, they are plenty of sexy times, and the reader will soon realize that Mr. Petrov wasn't such a saint after all.

When Mia Marceu married her husband she thought he was her prince, the man she'll be forever with, but he turned out to be a devil in disguise instead. Mia leaves him in order to find herself again and start living the life she deserves. Anton Petrov had an encounter with Mia a few years back and he knew right then and there that he couldn't have her, but his attraction to her only grew as time went by. After a chance encounter, could Anton have the chance he's been hoping with with Mia and be the man she needs to see her soar?

Rothert wrote realistic characters that are dealing with things that any of us could be facing at any given time of our lives. Perhaps because Anton and Mia respect each other and let the other deal with their issues without pushing, I liked them even more. Anton is compassionate, caring and protective with those he loves. His relationship with his brother and uncle Dix proved the kind of man he is even more. Mia is a survivor through and through, she's trying to navigate life the best she can with the hand she's been dealt. I loved her fighting spirit and her devoted love for her grandfather. And if there is one character in this book that completely took me by surprised and I LOVED, is uncle Dix. What a fantastic, delightful guy to get to know.

Anton brings laughs, angst, sensuality, tears, and the feeling of wanting to throw your Kindle against the wall with all you have. A fresh beginning to the Chicago Blaze series. Highly recommended!!!

He’s resigned himself to the single life and being the best dog dad he can be, but he still holds out hope that one day he’ll find “The One.” So, imagine his surprise when he runs into “The One Who Got Away.” Amelia Justice. His best friend’s baby sister. AKA: “The One Who Is Totally Off-Limits” Amelia is broken. The punches that life, and her ex-husband, have thrown at her have her down for the count. She’s cut herself off from her family and friends as she works to rebuild her self-esteem and her spirit. Hidden away in a small town, she never expects to reconnect with “The One She Should Have Chosen.” Chandler is so much more than he was in college: more handsome, more muscular, more tattooed… It was supposed to be a casual fling while Amelia and Chandler worked to put the pieces of their lives back together. But as every good hockey player knows, a rebound can turn into one hell of a goal.

The prequel to Juicy Rebound is available now!

Grab How We Fell In Love by Toni Aleo!

Option One: Wham, Bam, Thank You, Ma’am. Option Two: Till Death Do Us Part. Grace has only ever believed in Option One. But James makes her question that belief from the moment she meets him. James has only ever believed in Option Two. But Grace goes out of her way to shake his belief from the moment he meets her. He’ll move heaven and earth to convince her she’s the only option he wants for the rest their forever.

Here's another gem from Toni's hockey world.

Amelia and Chandler have known each other for years, they were very closed at one point and she was the one who got away. Amelia's life didn't turn out exactly the way she thought it would, her high school sweetheart turned out to be something out of a nightmare, and after living him, now little by little she's putting her life back together. Chandler married too young and too soon. He married an opportunist, someone who only wanted him for his money. But a chance encounter and the realization that they're both single, could be the second chance at happiness neither one of them saw coming.

Toni's books always bring to the surface how important family and good friends are, and Juicy Rebound is not the exception to that rule. I loved seeing Amelia and Chandler interact with the people closed to them, you can feel the love and respect they all have for each other and see how supportive they are no matter how the past played out. I admired how Chandler took it upon himself to lift Amelia, to give her the support she needed and allowing her to make her own decisions at her own pace. And Amelia, even though she went through hell, that girl is one strong cookie. Slowly but surely she's standing back up and going back to the girl she was, independent, feisty and lively.

As usual Ms. Aleo's writing flows effortlessly and keeps the reader glued to the story until the very end. Her characters have substance and they show that throughout the story, those are exactly the things that made me truly enjoy this book, the first of brand new series with what looks like very interesting characters and some laughs along the way, can we say Shelli and Nico? Don't miss this one!!!

About the Author
My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.
I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.
I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!
When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.
I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.
… and did I mention I love hockey?

#ReleaseBlitz #Review: Stiffed by Joanne Schwehm

She is the one. I knew it then, and I know it now.

It has been ten years since I first laid eyes on her, ten years since I’ve held her, ten years since I’ve been inside of her . . . and ten years since I broke her heart.

Now she’s back. And when I look into the eyes of my first and only love, I know she is the one for me. She is still the most beautiful woman, and she can still make my body come alive with just a glance.

If I feel this way, she must too . . . right? Wrong. According to her, the past is the past. Her life doesn’t consist of second chances, just the here and now. But guess what? I’m here, and it’s now. We aren’t meant to be apart—that was my mistake, and I will do whatever it takes to make her mine again.

She forgets I know what makes her blush. She forgets I know how to make her laugh and how to give her immense pleasure—but I am determined to remind her.

And once I do, I will never let her go again.

I love this series and this new installment does not disappoint.

Sometimes when we're young we make decisions that we live to regret a few years down the line, this was the case with Jack Prescott. He let go of the woman he loved and now that she's back in his life, he'll do anything to show her, not only that he loves her dearly, but the future they can have. April Johnson has always know that Jack was the love of her life, but circumstances in life may prevent them for having their happy ending. I loved the way Jack showed how much he cared for April, he was tender, caring, and above all supportive and respectful of her feelings. I understood April views and I probably would've felt the same way if that was me.

I have to say Ms. Schwehm took me on a path that I never suspected, but loved it. It was different and it deals with issues that are very important for a human being. The way she presented their relationship was realistic and like life full of ups and downs. One lesson prevailed after I was done reading this book, sometimes we have to take the bull by the horns and just ride it the best way we can enjoying every single second.

Stiffed is a second chance story and has everything that a lover of contemporary romance looks for, a swoony hero who is successful and know what he wants and a heroine who is strong and secure of herself without losing who she is. Highly recommended!

Striding up to her, I placed my hand on the door. With her back up against the six-paneled wood, she attempted to look away. Using my index finger, I put it on her chin, urging her to look at me. What I needed to say needed to be done while we were face-to-face. I brought my body closer to hers—so close that my scruff brushed up against her soft cheek. The freckles adorning the bridge of her nose came into view, and my entire body came alive at the mere grazing of our skin.

“You want me to forget everything?” She nodded slowly. “Do you mean to tell me if I kissed you right now… fused our mouths together, my tongue skimming yours, you wouldn’t remember how good we were together?” My body thrummed with excitement at the thought of tasting her again. “That the feelings you once had for me, that I still have for you, wouldn’t come rushing back like a tidal wave?”
Pools of hazel swam with an undertone of desire. “Has any other man made your body come alive with a single touch?” I cupped her cheek, and on what I’d like to assume was instinct, she leaned into my hand. Dropping my voice an octave, I whispered in her ear, “Has anyone made you feel the same way I did when I was buried deep inside you? Did you call out their name like you did mine when you had an orgasm?”
She gasped. I pulled back, and once again locked our eyes. The pulse in her neck beat strong and fast under the pads of my fingers. “Do you think of me when you’re with other men? When you’re with Alan?” Her black lashes lowered, but I didn’t let that dissuade me. “Look at me, April. Tell me… have you really forgotten about how good we were together? How when I’d take off my shirt, you couldn’t stop your hands from roaming up and down my body? How when you’d take off yours, your breasts would swell, and your nipples would harden?” I glanced down at her chest. Her breaths were shallow—labored. I smugly grinned. “Much like they are now. Or when I pulled them into my mouth—” She sucked in a clipped lungful of air. “And you’d moan in pleasure? Believe me, I haven’t forgotten any of it.”
Her eyes clouded over with yearning when I licked my lips. “I’m curious… do you really want me to forget about the past? Forget how much we loved each other? For me to not remember how you trembled when I kissed you?” My lips came so close to hers I almost lost control. “To forget how when you’re confused these three little lines form between your eyes?” I let my thumb graze over the tense spot to prove my point. Her tongue poked through the seam of her lips. God, how I wanted to taste her, to claim her mouth once again. “Say it, April. Tell me you don’t feel the same way, and I’ll leave you alone.”
After a few seconds of hesitation that felt more like an hour, her voice trembled as she said, “I’m sorry.”
“I didn’t ask for an apology. I asked if you felt the same way. Go ahead. You can tell me. Tell me you’re content.”
“Jealousy doesn’t look good on you, Jack.”
“Jealous? You think I’m jealous of another man?” She arched a brow. I raked my hand through my hair. “The only thing I’m jealous of right now is your panties, because they get to touch what’s mine.”
