Synopsis
Eva Bennett might be known
for her candid approach and sharp tongue, but on the inside she’s still a
vulnerable twenty-four year old who’s sick of kissing toads and being habitually
single.
Full of comical one-liners
and wielding a charming smile, Sawyer Keeton is more than meets the eye. After
the news of his brother’s tragic death, however, Sawyer is pulled into a place
filled with crippling emotions and pain—a place no one can seem to reach
him…until the moment Eva steps into his life.
A twist of fate will bring
them together and then tear them apart, forcing the two to learn there are
people in life whom you cherish and pray will never forget you.

Review
This is a wonderfully written romance story, you find yourself getting pulled more and more into the story of loss both Sawyer and Eva go through. I cried and cried. I couldn't begin to imagine her pain.
From the moment they meet, Eva is sure she wants nothing to do with Sawyer and Sawyer is just as determined to be all about Eva.

Eva has a strong will and is resistant to go out with Sawyer at the beginning, but she finally caves in. Sawyer is not your typical twenty something guy, he's dealing with a terrible tragedy and his life is orderly. The author builds up their relationship little by little and you can almost see the moment when their love start to bloom. The story is told from alternate POV's so the reader gets to see what they're both going through.
I was never so happy to see a happy ending in a book as I was for this one. It was like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders cause the pain these two went through was heartbreaking and gut wrenching.
As a bonus at the end of this book we get a short novella for Sawyer and this made me cry harder than the longer book. I know that when you read this novella you will get the closure you feel is missing in the longer story.
