When her 18th birthday rolls around, she decides to take matters into her own hands and ends up sleeping with Cash. What she didn't count on was Cash running as fast as he could from her the next morning.
Now, years later and after the death of her parents, she comes back to Whispering Springs to be close to the only family she has left, her step brother and uncle.
What she didn't count on was on finding Cash Montgomery back, and thanks to the irony of life, living under the same roof as her.
The attraction between Cash and Paige is still there, their chemistry is scorching hot, but can the mistakes of the past be forgiven and forgotten in order to give a real relationship a chance?
I really loved the main characters of this book. Paige is sweet, hard working and doing her best to get over the death of her parents. Cash is...well, he's sex on a stick once he finally starts getting over his self pity. I did feel bad for him, having it all and losing the one thing that gave you an identity so fast, has to be devastating for anyone.
This was my first experience with this author as well as the series, I really liked her style of writing and the characters she's created in this series. I went and bought the other ones because there were some background stories that sounded very interesting.
If you like sexy cowboys and a truly heartfelt story then this is definitely the book for you.
