Have you ever read a book that you didn't want to end? That's what happened to me with this book. Beautiful, beautiful story!
Carter
and Elly meet their first day of college and it was love at first sight
for both of them. They developed a strong friendship throughout college
and were madly in love with each other but never acted on those
feelings afraid of damaging their friendship. After graduation Carter
goes back to Texas to help out with his family's business and they
separate and lose touch for five long years, but when people are meant
to be together in life, circumstances will bring them back together and
that's what happens with Carter and Elly.I absolutely love the way the author develops the story, she gives us a little background history at the beginning but as their relationship grows we learn more and more about the main characters (and some of the secondary ones.)
Carter is book boyfriend material from the very first page of this book, he's sweet, he's understanding, and the love he has for Elly is just awe inspiring. Elly is like a caterpillar that transforms into a beautiful butterfly with the help of Carter's love and support despite her deep rooted fears.
This is not a story full of angst and nemesis, this is a sweet, romantic love story but one that is a bit realistic at the same time. I can't wait for the next book on this series, yeah I know, this one hasn't been released yet and I'm asking for number 2. I guess I'll have to patiently wait :-).
