Moments.

Our lives are a collection of moments. Some utterly painful and full of yesterday's hurts. Some beautifully hopeful and full of tomorrow's promises.

I’ve had many moments in my lifetime, moments that changed me, challenged me. Moments that scared me and engulfed me. However, the biggest ones—the most heartbreaking and breathtaking ones—all included him.

I was ten years old when I lost my voice. A piece of me was stolen away, and the only person who could truly hear my silence was Brooks Griffin. He was the light during my dark days, the promise of tomorrow, until tragedy found him. Tragedy that eventually drowned him in a sea of memories.

This is the story of a boy and girl who loved each other, but didn’t love themselves. A story of life and death. Of love and broken promises.

Of moments.

(Book Three in the Elements Series. Complete Standalone.)

REVIEW

This book is poetry in motion. Brittainy C. Cherry is one of those authors that squeezes your heart with her words to the point where you don't know if you're going to be able to keep reading, to the point where you feel you can't breathe.

At ten years old Maggie Mae suffered a trauma that changed her life in a big way. Her knight in shiny armor was Brooks Griffin, her brother's best friend and the guy she had a crush on. They developed a friendship that saved her from her demons, that kept her going when she needed the most. But nothing in life stays the same. They grow up and what once was a solid friendship starts falling apart.

These character are a masterpiece. Maggie was strong and oh so resilient, Brooks was a hero with the patience of a saint, a gentleman through and through. Every single character in this book is well written and an integral part of Maggie and Brook's journey. There are some painful moments for both of the main characters, but it also some that are full of joy and inspiration. Their lives, as well as their struggles and their triumphs became a part of me while reading. I wanted to help them, to hug them, because I understood their pain.

This is an incredibly beautiful story, one of those that stays with you for years to come. The author has a way of relating her tale in a way that you feel like she's talking directly to you.

I beg you to buy it and start feeling.
