Knox
Jagger. The name inspires resent in every male at Sinclair University, want in
every female, and contempt in Charlie Chase.
Charlie
can be summed up in three words: independent, independent, and independent. To
Charlie, Knox epitomizes everything that’s wrong with college males: prolific
one-night stands, drunken senseless fights, and a body that hints at
prioritizing gym time over study time.
As
an up-and-coming writer for Sinclair University’s newspaper, Charlie’s tasked
with getting to the bottom of who’s been dropping little white pills into
girls’ drinks at parties. In an ocean of All-American boys sporting polo shirts
and innocent smiles, Knox is the obvious suspect. As evidence piles up against
the bad boy of Sinclair, Charlie becomes more and more certain it isn’t Knox.
But when her drink is dosed at a party and she wakes up on Knox’s couch the
next morning, Charlie’s left with more questions than answers when it comes to
Knox Jagger.
How
can Charlie ever hope to uncover the truth behind a guy so closed off he’s
become . . .
Hard
Knox.

Review
I often wonder why some female characters in books have to be portray as somewhat weak and co-dependent on the guys they end up falling for.
Hard Knox is the exception to that rule.
Charlie is strong, she's her own woman and she's somewhat of a feminist. She's a journalist for the school paper and she's assigned a feature on underage drinking, that feature becomes an investigation on who's been spiking girl's drinks around campus. Her main suspect...Hard Knox.
Knox Jagger is "the man," guys want to be him, girls want to be with him. He's definitely a ladies man and the non commitment type.
He's everything Charlie despises, but when Charlie becomes the victim of the person trying to drug girls, Knox become her ally in her quest to solve the mystery.
I really liked this book, the characters were likeable and felt like real people to me. I loved Charlie and her independent spirit. I would've liked to see a bit more of Knox's background story to perhaps understand him a bit better, but he was definitely a great guy underneath the hard facade.
This is a very different and interesting story that will keep you
There are some very serious topics that are part of this story but Nicole did a great job in treating them with respect and caution that they deserved.
This is my first book by Nicole and I truly enjoyed it and would definitely read more from her.
