Excerpt
It was a beautiful sunny day and the game was over. Playing
in the NFL had been a childhood dream of Bobby-James and his best friend Luke.
They were elated; their team had won a game for the first time, in a long time
against the rival team. The fans had deserted the stadium long ago and the two
friends were on their way out.
Luke had a big smile on his face, “We played one hell of a
game!”
You could hear the happiness in their voices while they
talked. Bobby-James looked at Luke, “Oh hell ya we did! Thirty-six to
twenty-four against the Atlanta Falcons. That is crazy man! That hasn’t
happened in years.”
“I know! We were beasts! They couldn’t touch us!” You could
see a sparkle in Luke’s eyes as he laughed with joy.
They were headed for their cars and were so wrapped up in
talking about the win and fantastic playing that they weren’t paying attention
to much else. Bobby-James didn’t see who he had bumped into until it was too
late. He had caused an extremely attractive lady to drop her map. She was tall,
beautiful and had full luxurious wavy brown hair. Her eyes were enough to make
his heart skip a beat. He could have stared at her for hours and not once feel
the need to talk. He only wanted to see this beauty stand in front of him for
hours. When he finally came out of the passion filled haze he was caught up in,
he felt horrible for bumping into her.
Selena Rivera lives in Montreal, Quebec, Canada . A self-proclaimed "Country Girl" at heart, she loves country music. She also likes to sing and dance and has an interest in astronomy. By day, she is a busy secretary. Her life struggles have pushed her to fight for her dreams. She's an artistic person and has been writing since the age of 12. Above all she wants to share her world with everybody.
