Zeke Stewart, left town after his mom passed away, he was broken hearted and he needed a change of scenery. He stayed away long enough but when his brother needed help with his tattoo parlor he came back to help out. He's been infatuated with Sienna since he first saw her but she won't give him the time of day. He knows there's a reason for her refusing to go out with him but he has no clue how painful that reason is or the emotional scar that her past left her with.
But there's always a reward for those who persevered, and little by little Zeke starts getting to Sienna and her emotional walls start cracking thanks to the handsome cowboy. Will Sienna be able to trust again and let Zeke in? Will Zeke be the strong man Sienna needs in her life to helper her believe again? Will a visit from Sienna's past ruin the bond Sienna and Zeke had formed?
I loved this series. The characters are warmed and easy to relate to, the story keeps the readers interest from the very beginning and to spice it up the sexy times are pretty hot.
My problem with this particular story is that it felt rushed, specially towards the end. It left me wanting more and I felt like a missed a chunk of the story.
Domestic violence (which could be a trigger for some people) is introduced in the storyline, but the author does a very good job at presenting it and sympathizing with the victim.
At the end of the book there's a novella about Jeremy and Ava and their struggles to have a baby. Beautifully written and a bit painful to read.
