A loud crash jolted me back into the reality of the situation. I waited for more gunfire, but all that followed the toppling dresser was harsh, ragged breathing. I wasn’t sure if the sounds were my own or from those who had just entered the room.
Then one of them spoke.
A man with a deep, gravelly voice. A voice which sent shivers of fear and fascination deep into my soul. The mixture of feelings confused me, but I had no time to delve into what they really meant. The only focus in the forefront of my disheveled mind was to figure out how to survive.
Would I beg for my life? Would I appear weak in the face of the enemy? I couldn’t answer with certainty, and that alone was disarming. I had no idea what to do, what to say or how to feel.
Luckily, the decision was stolen from me the instant my eyes found him.
A tall, broad man stalked forward, every step closer deciding my fate. My head had instinctually risen so I could see who was coming for me, and what I saw stopped my heart. While my soon-to-be captor was covered in blood, no doubt from his up-close-and-personal bloodshed of my fellow Savages, his prowess shined through. His pale blue eyes pinned me defenseless, his hair short and cropped to his head, a trimmed beard covering his sharp jawline. Blood dripped from his cheeks, and I instantly wondered if he’d been hurt.
The man who had come to kidnap me was the most handsome man I’d ever laid eyes on. But I vowed then and there to never fall prey to his charms, if ever he decided to enchant me with them. Although I hated my club, my father and Vex, I wasn’t a traitor. And falling for the enemy was the worst kind of sin to be committed in our ruthless, deadly world.
Shit, as far as I knew, he could be the Devil’s nephew, just as brutal and evil as my father and Vex.
Reaching forward, his hand was suddenly thrust into my personal space. Maybe if I close my eyes they’ll all go away. Maybe it’ll all be an awful dream, a nightmare I’ll soon wake up from. Shutting my lids tight, I squeezed my hands over my ears and drowned out the sounds in hope everything would return back to normal.
I’d never wished for my life more than I did right then, which was probably the saddest revelation I’d ever had.

Review

I want to start by pointing out something I believe is important to take into consideration. The beginning of this book will give you warnings that a subject matter within this book may cause triggers for some. If you have issues with anything listed then be prepared for what you read. Some of the things happening were hard to read but as these type of things happen in real life, I had no problem reading them and did truly add depth to this story. Now with that being said let's start my review.

Marek is the prez of the MC,  although is hardcore biker and believes in his MC and all it stands for, he has one major motto in life. Never force or hurt a woman for your own jolly kicks. He believes that there are plenty of free goodies out there to run over just one, so just don't bully one, love them all.
Things are not going the best in Marek's MC due to their dreaded rival, and after the enemy does a major no no, he decides to get back at them with what he thinks is the ultimate prank. He kidnaps the rivals Prez daughter. That was the best worst mistake he could have ever done.
Sully has lived a hell that I hope I never have to endure. Her father is the Prez of an MC and believes he has the right to do with his daughter whatever he wants, she is to do his bidding regardless of what is asked and then punish her for doing the things he has bidded her. To add insult to injury she is claimed by a member of that MC since a very young age who also takes pleasure in torturing her for whatever he deems wrong. She prays for death on a  daily basis to get away from the life she is being forced to endure. Then this all changes in a blink of an eye when she is kidnapped by the rival club, fearing she will be put into another situation that will be worse than the one she already knows. Little does she know her life is fixing to be turned around not for the worse, but for the better.
From the time these two come together, the couple finds that sometimes things happen for a reason that isn't bad but actually the right thing for both of them. Marek can't imagine this beautiful lady going through what she has and still be a happy person. He just knows that he will never hurt her in any way and will do what he has to to convince her of this. Sully can't imagine this man, Marek, being as good to her as he is without wanting to force her to do things she rather not do. Their relationship is patchy at best, it takes a big occurrence for both of them to wake up and know that they were truly meant to be a couple who deserves a happy ending.
I loved this entire book and found the action exciting and fitting to the theme of it. I also enjoyed the side characters and can't wait to read more about Stone and Addie as well as the rest of the club. Especially Jasper.
Bring in the next installment cause this chick is hooked.

S. Nelson grew up with a love of reading and a very active imagination, never putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard until 2013.

Her passion to create was overwhelming, and within a few months she’d written her first novel, Stolen Fate. When she isn’t engrossed in creating one of the many stories rattling around inside her head, she loves to read and travel as much as she can.
She lives in the Northeast with her husband and two dogs, enjoying the ever changing seasons.
