Blue by HJ Bellus will bring out so many emotions that you will find yourself completely captivated by all that is Blue Williams.
Blue has led a charmed life, with loving parents who encouraged her and pushed her to go after what she wanted in life. She realizes one of her goals and ends up at Preston University where she meets the mysterious and extremely sexy football player Tuck Jones. However, all is not what it seems. And Tuck has his own demons to face and does everything he can to push Blue away.
It takes extremely horrible events to bring the two together, but can their love overcome their fears ???
HJ Bellus has created a story that will allow you to laugh, all the while bringing you to tears. But most of all, she encourages each of us to be brave and to fight for ourselves and the ones we love. And this is what I loved most about this story.
Bellus allowed the story to flow in a way that showed not only the flaws and weaknesses of these characters, but most of all she allowed their desire to be brave and to fight for each other dominate the overall storyline. Bellus also allows her reader to connect with these characters on a personal level by making them imperfect. Blue is stubborn and takes unnecessary risk, but even when her best friends Noah and Sophie turn their backs on her, and her life falls apart, she still has the ability to be brave and to fight for what she wants in the end. All the while trying to help Tuck face his own demons that keep him trapped from living his life to the fullest. It's what I loved most about these characters. They were imperfect, but still fought to face their demons head on, and therefore allowed their life story's to begin to unfold in a beautiful way.
"Everyone has demons ... it just depends on whether you invite them in as your enemy or friend as to how your story unfolds. Make it the best one" ~ HJ Bellus
