Synopsis
There are many rules a priest can't break.
A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.
I've always been good at following rules.
Until she came.
My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I'm twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.
I am a priest and this is my confession.
***Priest is a standalone, full-length novel with an HEA. For mature audiences only.***

Review
First things first, this book is not for everyone. But if you do decide to read this book, please go in with an open mind, look beyond the shocking (for some) relationship between a priest and a woman, and look at the big picture.
After a tragic incident changes his life forever, Tyler Bell decides to become a priest. He wants to help others, he wants to change the views people have of the church and their leaders, while keeping memories alive withing him. He's done a superb job up to this point gaining the utmost respect from his parishioners and his superiors. That is, until a stranger with a sexy voice and red lipstick steps into his confessional.
Poppy Danforth comes from a wealthy family, she's a highly intelligent and well educated woman who unhappy with the way her family was shaping her future, decides to start a new life far away from them. Poppy ends up doing things that she regrets and in an attempt to clear her conscious, she ends up in Father Bell's church, in his confessional, telling him her most intimate and embarrassing secrets.
The friendship that develops between the priest and his parishioner soon turns into an intimate, lustful relationship. They both know their encounters are wrong and deceitful but they can't stop the chemistry and the thirst for each other.
This book is so much more than the carnal relationship between father Bell and Poppy, this book is an awakening of sorts for both of these people, a rediscovery of who they are and where they want to be.
I was mesmerized at how good the author communicated Father Bell's thoughts and feelings, they felt so raw, painful at times, and the reader can definitely feel the tug of war playing in his head between the vows he made and his new discovered feelings for Poppy.
I found it also to be a examination of the of the many rules the Catholic church imposes within its servants, some of which are obsolete in my opinion.
This is a very sexy read that for some may push the limits of decency, some may see it as a sacrilege, as something that should be forbidden. In my opinion this is an intelligent read, filled with feelings that are incredibly pure between a man and a woman, a clandestine affair that brought two people to find their real passion and mission in life.
