Mason Remington fell in love with his little brother's best friend, Gina, when she was still in high school. It seemed they'd found their forever early in life. But somehow it all went wrong. Now--ten years later--Gina's back in town. This time he doesn't intend to let her leave.
Mason spent the years he lost with Gina building a business, breeding and training horses, and helping keep his family's ranch going. Gina threw herself into a life in New York City where she has a career as a photographer…and a fiancé.
Gina needs to sell the ranch where she grew up and move her dad to New York. When she returns to Paradise Valley to finally close that chapter of her life, the last person she wants to see is the man who broke her heart all those years ago.
Mason isn't going to let the only woman he's ever loved walk out of his life forever without explaining what went wrong. He never understood why she left. Now he has one last shot to make her stay.
This book is intended for adult readers aged 18+
Each Remington Ranch Romance can be read as a standalone. No cliffhangers here! Each book contains one couple's story.
Mason is a hometown hunk, he's never gotten over his true love Gina. He will always wonder what happened to make their love go sour after promising each other it would be forever, so he spends his days working the ranch and his nights and weekends looking for the newest Ms. wrong to scratch his itch.
Gina is going back to her hometown to help her father sell their place and move him to New York She's been living in NYC for ten years after Mason broke her heart with the hurtful things he did. She's hoping she can get in and out without running into him. She still loves Mason, she probably always will, but the hurt he caused her can never be undone...
These two are the epitome of first love and only love, they also bring to life the cliche that there is no love like your first love. These two were definitely always meant to be together. No matter what was thrown at them, they stood by each other after their reunion and always told each other what was going on.
The only draw back to this book for me is how quick Gina forgave Mason. I would have liked to see him do a little more grovelin, for her to give him a harder time getting in her good graces. But alas that didn't happen and if I could change anything, that would be it.
Other than this. the flow of the book was good and I loved the entwinement of side characters, which made the story so much better.
This is the first book I had the pleasure of reading by this author and I really enjoyed her writing style and I hope to read more of her work in the future.
About The Author
Hi, I'm SJ, a coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.
I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.
I write 'Sweet N Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.
These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way.
Keep Up With SJ
