Book 1
Finding Calder
Synopsis
There is a place in
modern day America with no electricity, no plumbing, and no modern
conveniences. In this place, there is no room for dreams, no space for
self-expression, and no tolerance for ambition.
In this place, there is a boy with the body of a god and the heart of a warrior. He is strong and faithful and serves his family honorably. But he dares to dream of more.
In this place, there is a girl with the face of an angel and a heart full of courage. To her family, she is the vision of obedient perfection. But she dares to want that which she has been told can never be hers.
Becoming Calder is the story of good versus evil, fear versus bravery, and the truth that the light of love has always found its way into even the darkest of places . . . From the beginning of time, to the end of the world.

Review
What do you say about a
book so profound that leaves you in awe, not only of the writer, but
also of the beautiful words she was kind enough to share with the world?
Becoming Calder
What do you do when you realize that all you believed and respected all your life were nothing but lies? What do you do when you lose who you love the most? How do do you go about loving someone who is completely forbidden?
This is a story like no other, its uniqueness is part of the beauty of it, as well as the heartbreak. Two souls that according to men weren't supposed to be together, but according to their destiny were entwined as one from the beginning of time.
"As I stared at her, a strange feeling gripped me, almost like a sort of déjà vu, as if this moment was a memory-not one that was in my mind, but in my blood, in the very fiber of who I was. It felt like some sort of recollection or maybe a vision. Or perhaps a misty, long-forgotten dream come true."
I cried, I laugh, and at times I had to remind myself that this was just a book, because the words were so powerful that had me living the story with the characters. This book will leave you feeling raw and it will pull at your heartstrings, but it will also lift your spirits and give you hope that not all is lost despite the circumstances surrounding you.
"I swore I could feel the velvety tendrils moving through me, wrapping around the vital parts of who I was. I was helpless to stop it. She had invaded me. I was the field and she was the morning glory."
There is no doubt that Mia Sheridan is an incredibly talented writer, I don't know how she's able to communicate so much within the pages of a book, that's a gift, I believe, only a few have. Her previous books were mesmerizing, but Becoming Calder is her best book yet in my opinion. I can't wait to see how this beautiful story ends, to travel that road full of twist and turns in Finding Eden.
Highly recommend this book. Five stars are not nearly enough to rate it.

Review
"I'll be waiting for you, by a spring. Come find
me, I'll be there."
The second part of this series is even more soulful and
magnificent than the first.
I experienced the books in my head, in my bones, in my
heart. The feelings of loneliness, disappointment, happiness, rage,
forgiveness, and infinite love that the characters experienced throughout the
books, were the same feelings I experienced because they became part of me,
crazy as that sound.
These aren't just books to read for entertainment purposes,
these are books that will have you thinking about the nature of us as humans
and the relationships we developed with others.
"We all attach things to our hearts, the things we value, the things we need, the things that make us who we are. But maybe...maybe it's only when our hearts are broken, that those things can fall inside."
This story broke my spirit and touched my soul in a way
that no other book has ever done, and perhaps never will. But in true Mia
Sheridan style, piece by piece she put me back together, she made me believe in
love, in destiny and the power of forgiveness and gave me hope. In the end, I became a better
person because of her and these fantastic books.
I think every book that comes from a writer's brilliant mind it's made of a lot of fantasy, but I also think it reflects the pain, the struggle, the fantasy, and the beauty that comes from the person that it's writing the story. Once again I'm in awe of the incredibly talented Mrs Sheridan, these are more than books, more than entertainment, these are priceless works of art.
Five starts don't do justice to the amazing conclusion to this series.
Exclusive Interview with Mia Sheridan
1. Do you know how your interest in writing originated, and what or who was your inspiration?
I
started writing a blog two years ago about losing my newborn daughter.
That writing was later my inspiration to delve into fictional stories.
Darcy Rose will always be my first and number one inspiration.
2. Is there a subject you would never write about? What is it?
I'd have a hard time writing an unhappy ending. I'm not saying I never will (never say never), but that would be very difficult for me.

3. What question do you wish someone would ask you about and no one has?
Which one of my boys is my favorite???

4. Any possibility of a book exclusively from Archer's POV?
Hmmm... I hadn't considered that, but maybe?

5. What is one of the most surprising things you've learned about yourself while writing the Sign of Love series?
Just simply that I can write an entire novel! It always seemed like the most daunting thing in the world before - even the thought! But truly, if I can do it, anyone can!

6. What inspired your later books?
I can't necessarily say anything in particular inspires my story lines...they're just ideas that come to me that take hold and won't let go.

7. What makes these books and the characters different from your previous ones?
I like to think they have more depth...I'm constantly honing that writing skill and I hope I get better and better at creating characters that really feel real.

8. If you could cast your characters from Becoming Calder and Finding Eden in a Hollywood movie, who would you choose?
I literally have NO idea! As far as physically, I (obviously) see the characters on the cover...but real people? Eek! I don't know!

9. Do you read reviews? How important are they to you?
I do here and there...I like to get a good idea of what people like and what people don't like about my book and then let it go.
