Book and Review Blitz: Perfect Ten by Michelle Craig

Title: Perfect Ten
Author: Michelle Craig
 Release Date: August 28, 2014

Synopsis

Joseph Starling Jr. was in the right place at the right time. It didn’t take him long to discover his particular talent. He knew how to make a woman feel good. If she wasn’t screaming out his name, purring like a kitten or clawing at him like a lioness, he had failed. Mediocre was not a word in his vocabulary. Her enjoyment was so important to him that his own pleasure was a secondary concern.

Faith Graham was nothing like the women he was required to date as an escort—it was what he liked about her from the first time he saw her. She was imperfect and insecure. Her hair was a bit on the wild side, and her clothes were slightly rumpled. But her curves! They were alluring. She had curves where most of the elite clientele he mingled with had straight lines, and not an ounce of softness to be found. Shocking him to his core, she didn’t want anything to do with him.

Joe had always thought that working as an escort for Perfect Ten was a dream come true, but he was beginning to wonder if there was more to life than raking in the cash and having his pick of women on any given night. Could he start over with a new direction in life, or was he already at the age of twenty-six too jaded? Was there more out there for Joe Starling or was he destined to be a boy toy at the whim of any woman rich enough to afford him?

Review
Jo Starling is a successful businessman. But the nature of his business is not what you would call "conventional," Joe is an escort. Through the years he's become the best at the agency he works for going through his fair share of awkward and very funny moments with clients. And even though Joe is happy with his 'job,' he knows something is missing from his life.
Faith Graham has lived all her life hiding behind the ugly shadows of her mother and sister. You see, they are what society deems acceptable physically, while Faith is a curvy, size 16 girl. Throughout her life her mother and sisters have criticized her weight, making her feel inadequate and messing with her self steem.
Faith has a big family function to attend and her friends don't want her to go alone, so they decide to hire an escort to accompany her to it.
Although she's reluctant at the beginning, Faith decides to give it a go with the condition that she has to meet the escort first.
When Faith meets Jo for the first time, you can sense the attraction between these, two but her insecurities mess with her head and she tries to back out of the deal. When Jo sees Faith trying to back out of the contract he goes full steam ahead not letting her go anywhere and insisting that he'll be the one to go with her to her family function.
Little by little Jo gets under her skin and start showing Faith that she is a beautiful woman, worth of love, and a great handsome guy. Will Jo attentions and interest be able to break Faith barriers or will years of her mom and sisters putting her down will deter her to let him in?
I LOVED this story! The author did a very good job of telling a very real, at times raw tale, throwing in a little humor for good measure.
Even though deep inside we shouldn't, as women, let society influence us in believing we are not pretty enough, we are not good enough, or we don't deserve certain things (the affection of a handsome man included) because we don't look a certain way, we unfortunately do. Stories like this help us understand that we don't have to fit a mold, that beauty and love come in all shapes and sizes and that is up to us to appreciate and love us just the way we are.
Michelle did an excellent job with the characters, creating believable and lovable people, mixed with a heartfelt storyline.
I truly can't wait for a next book in this series.
Perfect Ten is a perfectly good recommendation from me.

Author Bio

About me. Let's see. I work full time as a bookkeeper in a law firm located in Old City, Philadelphia. I've been there for almost ten years now. I am a country girl at heart and am more than ready to get home to my country living in South Jersey at the end of the day, but it's nice to get a taste of the city too.

I have a B.S.B.A. in Human Resource Management. If I have any valuable advice to give, it's go to college directly after high school! I didn't finish with my degree until I was thirty-eight.

I am married for almost twenty years with no children. We prefer the furry kind, although I love, love, love my niece and nephew.

I write under two names. I use my real name, Nikki Worrell, for my hockey romance series (www.nikkiworrell.com) and Michelle Craig for my erotic romances. I picked the name Michelle Craig because my middle name is Michelle and my husband's name is Craig.
