Promo and Review Tour: Tied (Tangled #4) by Emma Chase

Synopsis
In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of... my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you've heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

Review
I said it before and say it again, no one writes romantic comedy like Emma Chase.

This is the final installment of the Tangled series and we are back to Drew's POV. The whole gang heads to Vegas for a last hurrah before Drew and Kate marry. A conjoin bachelor/bachelorette party brings enough crazy situations that will have you laughing until you're hurting.
Our Drew is a changed man due to the love of the woman who brought him to his knees and the love of his baby boy, but not even copious amount of love can change the incredible funny man that lives in his head. I truly loved this somewhat softer side of Drew we see here when he talks about his son and the love and adoration he has for James. I also loved the part where he's talking to his sister, he's not the best person to give advice but we see that his heart was in the right place. And the wedding is just, well...Drew through and through. I find it incredibly satisfying when a series come to a conclusion and goes out with a great happy ending.

While I enjoyed this story, there was a part that brought the great time I was having reading it to a complete halt. The part where Drew and all the guys are by the pool at the hotel, when Billy happens to have sex with two girls that weren't to Drew's "standards"? The name calling to the girls, asking Billy if he if he "liked to bump uglies with the uglies" was not only uncalled for, but I found it disrespectful. With all the bullying going on and the insecurities we as women face every single day (some of whom will be reading this book) thanks to what society seems to think we should look like, to have dialogue like this was irresponsible. I know that this is just a book, that it's meant for entertainment purposes, but putting these words out there, in my opinion, perpetuates the idea that because you're not a specific size or look the way society wants you to you're not good enough or deserve certain things.
Some might think I'm making a big deal out of this, but it was something that hit me hard and something that I believe authors and others putting their words out there should be conscious of.
By the way, for all of you that will try arguing the fact that this is the way Drew was throughout the series, I went back and couldn't find comments like these ones coming from him.

All that said, this was an incredible memorable series and characters, specially Drew.
One of my favorites by far who I will forever recommend.

About the Author

By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother of two who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.

Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.
