Blog Tour: Her Ride by Rachael Orman

Title: Her Ride
Author: Rachael Orman
Genre: Adult Romance
Publication Date: June 2014

Being happy. It sounds so simple. Yet, it seems that it’s always just out of reach for Shannon Ryan.

After serving overseas for six years as a female United States Marine, Ryan is finally getting out the military. But coming home to live with her biker brother and his motorcycle club is more difficult than she thought it would be. Much has changed in the years that she has been gone, including Ellis, her brother’s best friend and childhood crush.

Ellis 'Dirty' Crane is the second in command for Tormented Souls Motorcycle Club. The only thing he lives for is the club, that is until Ryan comes home, no longer the wild little girl that followed him around. The two things standing in his way of getting what he wants are Patrick, Ryan's brother and leader of the club, and Jeremiah, Ryan’s boyfriend.

Can Ellis break through Ryan’s walls? Burn them and Jeremiah down? Prove to her brother that he’s the right man for her? Or is Ryan hiding more than she’s letting on?

If you are looking for a book that can have you crying and tugging at your heart strings, if you want a book with one of the strongest female characters ever written,  if you are looking for a wonderful and caring Alpha hero that never lost site of who and what he loved the most in his life...then this book is surely for you.

Savannah Ryan aka Ryan is the lead female in this story and she has came home after 7 years in the military and decides to visit her brother Patrick for 3 months before heading to DC where she will officially leave the military. This woman is tough as nails, will fight anyone, anywhere, any time. The things she has survived would have killed anyone else, but somehow she always managed to survive. From being a victim of  rape, to an abusive control freak, who in my opinion, deserves everything that happens to him. She is just a wonderful character to read about, who saves her biggest triumph to reveal at a moment's notice. When this moment was revealed, I cried, ugly crying yelling no no no please dont let this be happening to her, hasn't she suffered enough.
Ellis aka Dirty is the hero of our story. He is VP of the MC club where Patrick is prez and has loved Ryan for years. But because of  his background, he knew he was never going to be good enough for the only woman who would always own his heart. He decided to finally make his move when Ryan gets back from her latest tour in the military, but from the moment he sees her it is plain to see something is very different about her. Ellis knows that no matter what it is he will fight for her and the life he wants them to have and no obstacle neither big nor small will come between them this time.

This book was addictive from start to finish. The strong heroine and the total adoration the hero had for her made this heart wrenching story an awesome read. He was there for her every step of the way and when Ryan made her big reveal it was like you could feel his pain coming through the book, you knew exactly where he was going to be no matter the outcome.
I give this story 5 stars because it had all the emotions you need for a great story. The easy flow from chapter to chapter never left me.
I would recommend this book to anyone who not only want a happily ever after, but who also wants some emotional angst added to it.
This is a stand-alone novel and the first in a new series, the next book will be about Patrick.
I want to express my heart felt appreciation to the author for allowing us the arc of this book. It was worth every Kleenex it took to read.

Review by Tammy

Rachael is a stay at home mom with 2 young daughters and a husband that keep her constantly on her toes. She lives in the extremely hot state of Arizona, where she reads and writes away the blistering heat outside. She is a cancer survivor with a quirky personality. She’s been an avid reader for as long as she can remember and been writing since she was in high school. Her hopes of being a writer were crushed when she was young but one day she decided she was going to do what makes her happy and that was to write.
