Review
Edge is the third book in the Fire on Ice series and this is Luke's story. I adored the first two books, but this one, I LOVED!
What attracts me to Brenda's writing is that she's a natural when it comes to put feelings and thoughts into a book. Her writing flows smoothly and it's full of heart and soul, this book is a prime example of that. The way she builds the relationship between Luke and Dell is beautiful, slow and steady and so "human" that this could be anyone's love story.
Luke is sent to the minors to recovery from an injury and it's there where he meets Dell. Adella Pierce is the team's physical therapist and one of the guys, she knows how to handle the rowdy players and they love her like a sister. The sexual chemistry between Luke and Dell is hot and definitely palpable from the very beginning, but due to the no fraternization rules and Dell's limited experience with men, she stays away from Luke.
Little by little he starts breaking those barriers and their flirting and "creative" ways to spend time together, gets hotter as the relationship progresses. The sexy factor in this book is a lot more than the previous ones, but the way those scenes are written and the way Mr. Hudson turns up the heat will leave you wishing it was you the one on the receiving end.
While it's not all fun and games for these two, their journey is totally worth following. You will cry and you will laugh, but most of all you will enjoy this book and Brenda's writing to the fullest.
