Head of the class...
Garrett Daniels has this whole life thing figured out.
The cocky, charismatic former high school star quarterback is an idolized football coach and "cool" teacher in the hometown where he's not just a golden boy — he's platinum. He has good friends, a great house on the lake, and the best damn sidekick a man could ask for: Snoopy, the albino beagle.
Then...Callie Carpenter comes home.
And knocks him right on his tight end zone.
Back to school...
Callie has a pretty sweet life herself...on the other side of the country. But circumstances — that she'd prefer to never speak of again — have brought her back home, helping out her parents and substitute teaching at her old high school.
Now she's facing bickering, raging hormones, constant gossip, awkward weirdness, and drama galore...and that's just the teachers.
Just like old times...
When Garrett offers to show his former high school sweetheart the secrets of his winning teacher ways, Callie jumps at the chance - and then has to stop herself from jumping him.
Good friends are all they can ever be.
Or...these teachers just might end up getting schooled — hard — by love.

Review
I love Emma Chase's style of writing. It's playful, engaging, romantic, and sexy. These are all characteristics reflected in Getting Schooled.
Callie Carpenter is the girl that got away, no matter how many years have gone by Garrett Daniels haven't forgotten about her, not even when she lived on the other side of the country all these years. But now, due to some family responsibilities, Callie is back and Garrett will do anything and everything to make sure he doesn't lose the girl this time around. Garrett and Callie's chemistry is palpable and their relationship as friends and lovers is completely realistic, the dynamic between them comes across as flirty and sexy without going over the top. Once again Ms. Chase show us that she can write a male POV in a way not too many are able to, she brings masculinity and sensuality to the table for a character that is overall perfection.
I appreciated the love, admiration and respect that Emma introduces in the book not only from the students to the teachers but also from the teachers towards the students. It goes to show that a good teacher could change a child's life at any given time.
Getting schooled is all I was hoping for from this author and then some. I really enjoyed this story and I can't wait to see what's coming next.
