And now we know why the English brothers are completely swoon worthy. These apples don't fall far from the tree.
Tom English goes to Colorado to marry before his 32nd birthday in order to get his inheritance from his grandfather, but after his "fiance" leaves him for someone else, he finds himself lost and knowing that he's pretty much out of luck since his birthday is in just a few short days.
While eating breakfast at a diner with his good friend they secure dates with two of the waitresses for that night. Tom is smitten with one of them, Eleanora.
Eleanora doesn't trust her cousin much when it comes to men but decides to go with her and see what happens. But when she meets Tom, things change, she realizes that he's smart, well educated and after finding out his predicament she decides to help him.
Unfortunately Tom's grandfather doesn't buy their story and their plan falls apart.
What neither of them counted on was the affection that had begun to run deep between them and they decide to give their relationship a chance.
You really can't go wrong with Katy's books and this is one to remember.
I absolutely LOVED Tom's selflessness, for someone who grew up with so many privileges, he took what life threw their way and ran with it like only a real man and husband would. I adored Eleanora, she was his support system through it all, and while other women would've been more interested in the high life, the love that was surfacing between them took priority number one and she did what she had to to help her husband.
Another fantastic read by the talented Mrs. Regnery, a better understanding why each one of the English men are a dream come true.
