#DrakeDay

Review
I was very intrigued by the premise of this book and I devoured it once I got it.
Drake is without a doubt a very dominant man, he has a tight team who he trusts and are like family to him, but all that said, he comes across a lonely man.
Evangeline is a sweet girl, sacrificing her hopes and dreams for her family's financial stability she comes to NYC to work in order to make a better living. The guy she thought was prince charming is nothing but a snake who takes advantage of her and leaves her humiliated.
While trying to make her ex see her in a different light she ends up in Drake's club, where, after an unfortunate incident leads her straight into his office and his life.
While I loved how protective Drake was towards Evangeline and understood some of the reasons for his over the top concern, I found him very brusque at times. I wanted him to soften up a little towards her and give her a bit more time to get accustomed to the life she chose to live with him.
Evangeline while very reserved and kind has definitely a back bone that I really liked. It is true that she follows Drake's rules, but she also stands up for herself when the occasion arises.
I adore Drakes' team, the men are definitely rough around the ages but you can definitely see that they are caring, thoughtful human beings.
This book reminds me of the first Maya series I read a couple of years ago, the Sweet Series.
I feel that she kind of got back to that style and somewhat those storylines, and that was one of the things that made me enjoy Mastered even more.
While this book leaves you with a cliffhanger don't let that stop you from reading it, it's compelling, good characters, and the conclusion will be here in May so not too long of a wait.
