Dear Reader,
Mental illness is a growing concern in our world today. On the Rocks is about surviving the aftermath of suicide, and believing in love again. Levi and Braunwyn’s love story is inspired by events that impacted the lives of people I care about deeply. With all of the research and ongoing concerns with mental health, I’ve decided to try and do something to bring awareness and light to this growing concern. I will be donating 10% of all pre-order and release week profits to Canadian Mental Health Association.

This was an emotional book of the utmost intensity, it gave me a new respect for people who continue on with life after suffering the huge loss of a loved one never understanding why they chose to take their life. To those of you going through this even as you read this, you are strong and please allow someone to help you through it all.
Levi owns a bar and instead if Mrs. Right he is looking for Ms Right Now. He is all about his business, and has no intentions of changing that. Until the day he planned on interviewing his new employee and found that Braun wasn't a man but in fact a beautiful woman who was exactly his type. And what he saw in her eyes had him hooked instantly.
Braunwynn aka Braun is a tortured soul with a past that would have broke most women. She is a single mom who just needs to get back into life and decide her own destiny. She owes that to her beautiful daughter. After showing up for an job interview and seeing the man she would be working for she knew it would never work, but she finds out quick she doesn't always get what she wants. Or does she?
These two slowly come together in a relationship that is not based off sex alone but rather a friendship that both decided to start and it progressed at a rate that you knew it was never going to end.
Levi was patient and kind and the strongest male I have ever had the privilege of reading. He was always there when Braun needed him and lended support in whatever form she needed.
Braun was an extremely strong character and after tragedy struck her life she remained a stable woman, not only for her family but those she came to know as friends.
The scenes where the couple and little girl were together were expertly written and remained strong to the end. I loved the progression of the story and it held my attention throughout. A job well done indeed.
I loved this entire book, but I must say that I didn't like the references to the cartoon Scooby Doo. Not that it was a bad thing, they were kind of cute but still a little offsetting to me.
I highly recommend not one this book but this author as she is outstanding as a writer.
