Series: Alluring Indulgence #7
Synopsis
From
New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Nicole Edwards comes
the seventh book in her Alluring Indulgence series, erotic romances
featuring the Walker brothers from Coyote Ridge, Texas, and their
sizzling-hot love interests.
Sawyer
Walker has never run into problems with women. The female population
tends to swarm toward him, in fact, and he’s never had a complaint.
But
there’s one woman Sawyer has always had his eye on. A woman who won’t
give him the time of day. In recent months, it would seem that Kennedy
Endsley is opening up to Sawyer, but she’s got a few surprises in store
for him. Because, as hard as she finds it to resist the handsome Walker
brother, she won’t give in easily. Not when her heart is on the line.

Review
This is an addictive series and it's been a real treat to see the Walker brothers fall in love one by one. This time is Sawyer's turn.
Sawyer has had his eyes on Kennedy Endsley since they were in high school, unfortunately for him he belong in the group which used to bully her due to her nerdy looks. So now that Kennedy has returned to town after finishing her college degree and is a beautiful accomplished woman, he wants her more than ever.
No matter how much time has passed since her high school years, Kennedy still remembers the humiliations she suffered back then, she was always attracted to Sawyer but to forgive and forget is not an easy thing to do. She wants to believe that he's a changed man and that he won't cause her heart to break into tiny little pieces, but the doubt still remains no matter what Sawyer does to prove to her that he's a different now.
Will these two be able to leave the past behind and start to enjoy the present while planning for the future?
I really liked Sawyer, yes, he made mistakes when he was younger when it came to Kennedy, but he's an adult now and is ready to prove to her that he is what she needs in her life. I love the fact that he's the caretaker of all his brothers, his care and concern for his family is heartwarming and endearing. Kennedy was ok most of the time but her hanging on on the past experiences was a bit annoying at times. I understand where she was coming from but at the same time there's a point in your life where you have to leave some of the negativity behind and see what's in front of you, understand that people grow up and they change for the better, most of the time.
I think that there was so much going on in this book (sub-plots) that there were missed opportunities to bring this story to a more emotional depth between these two characters. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad story by any means, I just feel like there were issues that should've taken precedent over others.
No matter what, you will love this book, you can never go wrong with a Walker brother.
