Lacey Newman works for Grant's company, she's fairly new there and her boss treats her like garbage. But don't dismiss my girl Lacey just yet, she's smart, she's witty, she's a hard worker and she's ready to put the big boss, AKA Mr. Devlin, in his place, even though she has a huge crush on him.
Grant can't help but be intrigued by the curvy Lacey, who's not afraid to tell him that his company is hanging in the balance and is mostly because of him.
They start spending time together getting to know each other and the chemistry between these two is scorching hot!
Grant doesn't give a damn about having a physical relationship with Lacey but she loves and needs her job too much to play games with her playboy of a boss.
Part 1 ends with a bit of a cliffhanger that leaves you wondering if Grant has been sincere towards Lacey all this time or if he just put up a show for his own benefit. The good news is, that we are only days away until part 2 releases.
The author did an amazing job developing these characters and even Lacey's beotch of a boss is an interesting one. I love the storyline and it kept me on my toes from beginning to end. I'm not a fan of serials and I can assure you that I can't wait for book 2 to come out and see where Lila is going to take Grant and Lacey next.
