Switch Stance
By M.E. Carter and Andrea Johnston
A #MyNewLife & Country Road Series Crossover Standalone
Blurb
I, Agnes Sylvester, a successful author known as Adeline Snow to the romance community, enjoy the simple things in life: watching the X Games with my childhood friend Todd; taking pictures of interesting buildings; and creating stories based on fantasies about my favorite skateboarder, Spencer Garrison. I’m known for my extreme sports stories, and as long as no one ever figures out he’s my muse, all is well.
But fate has never liked me and now that muse is standing in front of me. Asking me to sign a book.
What.
Is.
Happening!?!
“Extreme Sports Superstar” is the term the media has used to describe me over the years. I prefer to just be Spencer Garrison, a small-town guy who happens to ride a skateboard for a living and is known for philanthropy.
Nearing retirement, I’m focusing on my non-profit efforts and building a life outside of a professional athlete. My agent won’t let me retire in peace and consequently a talented and kindhearted woman stumbles her way into my life.
Sometimes happy endings aren’t written. They’re lived.

Review
While Andrea Johnston is a new to me author, I have read most of M.E. Carter's work, and let me tell you these two authors together are simply a fantastic combination.
Agnes Sylvester know as Adeline Snow to her readers is a hot mess (in the cutest way possible) when it comes to social situations, she's awkward, clumsy, and a bit shy. Her extreme sports stories are a success, but lately she's been running short on inspiration when it comes to the latest book she's writing. Not even her muse, Spencer Garrison, a well known extreme sport superstar is doing it for her this time around. But when fiction meets reality will Agnes/Adeline's muse help her get rid of the writer's block she's been fighting?
What I liked the most about this book is that Agnes could be any of us, she's sweet, she doesn't hide that she's not the best when it comes to social situations, and has a mad crush on a guy she doesn't even know (most of us have been there.) Spencer is just a regular guy, but because of his career he's idolize by many, many who don't see just the easy going guy hiding behind the fame. And if you love the two main characters you definitely need to meet Spencer's sister, Kate, who provided a lot of funny moments in this story as a bookworm who is Adeline's number one fan.
I love how smooth this story flows from beginning to end. Sometimes when two authors collaborate there's always something missing due to their writing styles, but these two ladies completely nailed it from beginning to end. While these characters are from different series from both authors you don't need to read the previous books to enjoy this one. This is a standalone book that will leave your heart singing with joy.
