“Everyone has a story my pages are just a lot darker than most.”

Aiden Chesterfield needs control like he needs to breathe. It pushes back the dark past he tries to pretend doesn’t exist. Just as badly as he needs the structure that domination provides, he needs Camaron to be the one to submit to him. Though, when Aiden realizes how unworthy she feels of his love; he sends her away. Her insecurities anger him, but break him at the same time. Forcing him to come to the realization that her emotions are one thing he cannot control.

Camaron Allen left everything to start her life over in Vegas with hopes of finding family. After losing the man she loves because of her insecurities she’s determined to become stronger. When a phone call from her best friend has her taking on a new career, she is forced to face more than herself. Shaft is hitting the big time and everyone wants a piece of the rockers’ pie; and some are willing to do anything to get it. Will Cam and Aiden be able to move beyond their fears and face the possibility of a future, together? Or will they forever fight their demons alone?

Honestly I loved this book.
This is the story of Aiden Chesterfield and Cam Allen. It takes place after their break up and tells the road they take to getting back together.
Aiden is the drummer in the Shaft band and is a dominant to balance things out in his life. The only woman he has ever kissed is Cam. The only woman he has ever loved is Cam. And all he ever wanted is for Cam to love him and as soon as she says those magical words to him he freaks out because everyone he has loved has turned their back on him and he couldn't stand the thought of losing her. So naturally, he tells her to just go, beginning the most tortuous months of his life.
Cam Allen is a submissive to no man until she met Aiden and with him it came naturally. She has walls built up for protection because as a foster child she learned that if you showed emotion of one kind or another, you were never going to be picked by a forever family. But Aiden was the exception to that rule. He kept pushing and pushing and when she finally admits her love to him he pushes her away and makes her remember why emotions are just a waste of time.
This story had drawn me in from the get go.The dialogue will have you laughing until tears roll down your face and your side hurts. Then some parts will have you crying because the pain of Aiden's past is so real, you re-live his frightened 8 year old body in your mind.
These two broken people will find their happily ever after in this book although it takes time to get there. The antics thrown into this story was awesome. I can see Hunter, who is Aiden's brother and also the lead singer of the band, running into a diner the way he did and saying what he said. Hunter is my newest obsession and Hunter being Hunter is obsessed with the two P's in his life. If you read book one you already know what they are, if not you have to read the book to find out.
I give this book a solid 4.5 star read and encourage anyone who likes the whole rock band on tour thing to grab this book and prepare to be entertained beyond a reasonable doubt.
The next book in this series will be Hunter and I already know it will rock.
Thank you Ms. Mason for allowing us to read and review this book.
