Synopsis
Success brought fame.
With fame came money.
And money brought every single wh**e to worship at his feet.
Chester Green has it all living the coveted life as rock’s hottest front man—traveling, partying, and in every city, burying himself between the thighs of a groupie or two. He gorged on the perks for more than a decade until life became dull, and the taste of a woman became bland on his tongue. Nothing excited him. Nothing, until the day life literally crashed into him.
Arianna Garcia is tough, fiery, and doesn’t back down or fall sway to his charms. She isn’t a groupie, making the hunt so much harder and the rewards so much sweeter. His money and fame mean nothing to her.
All he wanted was to relax and release some pent up tension.
Now all he wants is her.
Review
Elena Reyes promised hotness and she certainly delivered with I Saw You.
Let me start by saying that this book contains one of the things I look for more in a story, a strong heroine. I'm sick and tired of reading stories of weak women who are waiting for the alpha to rescue them. Not Arianna Garcia though, this girl is a fireball, she's successful, with a good head on her shoulders, a woman who loves her family and someone who is not afraid to put herself first. I loved her, her need to make something of herself made her more likable and real to me, and that's exactly why she's the perfect mate for Chester.
Chester Greene, Mr. playboy rockstar, has been around the block more than a few times and as he gets older he realizes that he's looking for something more meaningful than a one night stand with a groupie. When he meets Arianna sparks flight immediately, but she's not your ordinary girl, she won't give it up easily, she respects herself too much.
And then there's nasty Ashley, she's Chester's best friend since childhood who's in love with him and will do anything in her power to keep who she thinks is her man.
While they were a few occasions when I wanted to ring Chester's neck for not waking up and seeing the kind of snake Ashley was, I understood his reasons for putting up with her. She was his childhood friend, his sister almost, and I guess he didn't want to admit to himself that Ashley, the sweet girl he rescued when they were innocent kids was behind all the nastiness that kept him from becoming one with Arianna.
I have to say that I'm not one to go for books about rockers, not because I have anything against them, but because in my experience as a reader not too many authors know how to bring them to life in a realistic way. I think Elena did a great job bringing Chester and his band members into the spotlight, she not only let us into their professional life but also into their personal lives, allowing us to see that not all is fun and games when it comes to living that life day after day. The author definitely gave us some steamy sexy times between Chester and Arianna, their chemistry explosive, yet the tenderness between them was always present.
I truly enjoy this book and if you like hot rockers with a good sense of humor, a heroine you can relate too and and evil witch you want to smack over and over, this is your story.
About the Author
Elena M. Reyes was born and raised in Miami Florida. She is the epitome of a Floridian and if she could live in her beloved flip-flops, she would.
As a small child, she was always intrigued with all forms of art—whether it was dancing to island rhythms, or painting with any medium she could get her hands on. Her first taste of writing came to her during her fifth grade year when her class was prompted to participate in the D. A. R. E. Program and write an essay on what they’d learned.
Her passion for reading over the years has amassed her with hours of pleasure. It wasn't until she stumbled upon fanfiction that her thirst to write overtook her world. She now resides in Central Florida with her husband and son, spending all her down time letting her creativity flow and letting her characters grow.
