In this new installment of the Manwhore Series we find ourselves right where the first one left us.
Rachel knows she made a humongous mistake and she's heartbroken and disappointed in herself for the things she did and for hurting the man she loves.
Malcolm is hurt beyond believe by what Rachel did, but not even all the hurt in the world is going to stop loving her or trying to protect her and provide for her the best he can, by offering her a job she can't resist.
And so it begins, a slow courtship, a sensual game between Saint and Rachel, and all in the eyes of the public for the most part. What the outsiders can't see is the incredibly sweet and caring feelings they have for each other, and the sexual chemistry that exudes from these two, which is right down sinful.
Things start happening and Rachel once again is going to have to pick and choose what side she's going to be on, will she choose to be faithful to her career at the magazine that has been her dream come true or will she once and for all choose Saint and the love she has for him?
What I absolutely LOVED about this book is Saint. Yes, he's sexy, career oriented, hard worker,and has plenty of money, but what calls me to him is what lies underneath all that, his vulnerability, his ability to express what he feels taking a chance on Rachel once again, not knowing if he's going to end up heartbroken. Katy did an extraordinary job portraying Malcom, his feelings, his struggles, the fact that underneath all his public persona, he was a human being who had been terribly hurt by the one person who was supposed to protect him.You can almost feel his anguish, his doubts and his resolution to just take a chance at happiness. I also loved the fact that he didn't play games and didn't use other women to make Rachel jealous, he knew what he wanted and went for it.
Rachel put her big girl panties on and went for the man she loved, putting her feelings and Saint first, no matter the consequences.
The story goes slow at times but it keeps the readers interest and you really want to know what will happen with these two and if they will finally find their HEA.
Now the wait begins for Ms. Manwhore, October can not come soon enough!
