In a perfect world, our dreams would have kept us together.
“You are my dream,” he said to me…
But in our world, dreams tore us apart.
I ran away from that life.
I ran away from that life.
I threw us away…
And my choice broke him.
A message from beyond the grave would obliterate my world:
A message from beyond the grave would obliterate my world:
“You chose wrong.” These words would haunt me, telling me that everything I’d worked so hard for was wrong.
I chose independence.
I chose independence.
“You chose wrong.”
I chose a career.
“You chose wrong.”

Review
Five years ago loss became Tanley's best friend, decisions were made which shaped the person she is today.
Tenley is a very successful lawyer in NYC, but as she strides to be the best she can be in her profession her personal life is empty, lonely, it has been for a while now.
Suddenly a call from a dear friend and a letter from a loved one made her rethink her present, revive her past, and re-evaluate what she thought she wanted in the future. A blast from her past calls her to go back to the place she vowed never go back to, home.
"You chose wrong.
Stop hiding.
Stop running.
Come home."
I'm really not going to say much more about the storyline of this book because this is a book you have to read, savor, a book that will make you feel. This is a character driven, well thought out, well written emotional storyline.
There are parts of this book that will make you think and perhaps evaluate situations in your own life. There are parts that will leave you breathless with the beauty of the words written.
Mary did a fantastic job creating characters that are easy to relate to, imperfectly perfect characters that will bring the emotions of the situations they are living to the surface, pulling the reader into their stories.
Don't forget to grab the tissues for this sweet, heartfelt story.
Highly recommended!!!
Author Bio
I am a dreamer. I've always been a
dreamer. Some may not have worked out the way I hoped they would, but I also
believe that everything happens for a reason.
Writing has changed my entire life. It
brings happiness and fulfillment to areas in my life that I didn't even know I
was missing. It's also one of the hardest jobs I've ever done. It takes me away
from my family, friends, and the little day-to-day tasks that once upon a time
seemed normal. Sometimes I like to revisit my portfolio of old short stories,
poems, and the inspirational quotes I have kept for many years. Reading through
it all shows how far I've come and that the journey I am on now is exactly what
I dreamed of many years ago. This makes me smile.
A long time ago, I used to write short
stories and poems in journals and kept them privately to myself. It took quite
some time and many sacrifices, but now I have four published books and
have my very own writing cave. What the heck is that? Well, it's my second home
where I laugh, dream, imagine, and write my heart out to hopefully produce
something that will make other people smile.
I call New Jersey home where I share my
life with my husband, Henry, and our three sons.
Life is an incredible journey.
We are all an open book. Every day is a
new chapter to write in our story. Lessons are to be learned and shared.
Keep moving forward.
Never give up on your dreams.
Smile, and never let anyone dull your
Sparkle.
Believe me...Your spirit will thank you
for it.
Xoxo
