Review

ME Carter brings us a heartfelt, laugh out loud, story with a big dose of reality. 

I loved both of the main characters, Elena and Greg were both relatable and so easy to love from the very beginning. They both have issues that could easily be blamed on the hell their ex's put them through. Their relationship is a slow burn of flirting and very funny situations that included a very hyper little boy and Elena's best friend. The author without a doubt understands Elena and what she's going through, her fears, her frustrations, her hopes and dreams. And Greg is a dream man, sweet, attentive, a great father, an amazing friend.

The one thing that you will absolutely LOVE about this book is how real these characters are. They have flaws like all of us and their insecurities could easily be one of ours. I applaud the author for not having flawless individuals, for showing us that we might not be everyones cup of tea, but for someone out there, we are just the right flavor.

This a definitely MUST read.

I’m hit by a storm of desire to kiss him better. It’s a tornado, an avalanche in my body, and in one breathless moment, I decide to go for it. It’s okay. I can take the blame for it later.

I break the rules and reach up and kiss him. A feathery peck on his plump lips, it’s a kiss of solidarity, a kiss that intends to tell him I understand—but one isn’t enough. It only manages to ratchet up my lust. So I give him another, this time on the corner of his mouth, and then another one on his jaw.

It’s not enough, these small, barely-there touches. I want more, but I won’t take it. I’ll be good; I’ll only give.

Abruptly, he fists my curls and stops me. I look at him fearfully, ready to apologize—not for the kiss, but for being the kisser. His gaze reflects passion, stark, raving need, and I shiver, despite wearing layers and sweating with his heat.

“Are you trying to kiss me, Layla?” he rasps, flexing his fingers on my makeshift ponytail.

They say that sometimes the right words come to you when you need them the most. Vi Keeland did that for me with this book.

Yes, this is a love story, but there's so much more behind it that what meets the eye. The author dug deep into these characters psyche and show us how our past experiences can define our future. They show us about absolving ourselves of past mistakes and accept who we are right now (imperfections and all,) how to love without limits, and how to forgive those who hurt us the most.

Beautiful Mistake is a work of art, a beautifully told story who was born from a beautiful soul. Because in my opinion, only someone who has experienced some of what her characters went through or who has seen it through the eyes of others, can communicate their troubles and tribulations with such honesty and rawness.

This a "DO NOT MISS" book. It's perfection wrapped up in 297 unforgettable pages.

Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland is absolutely amazing! I went into this blind and was completely captivated by all of the emotions Keeland pulled out of this storyline.

Keeland is truly a master maestro, conducting a symphony that is both dark and painful, while leading you toward love and hope.

Rachel Martin and Caine West are two phenomenal characters. They will both grab your heartstrings, and have you completely enthralled in their actions and desires

I haven't read a book that completely knocked me off my knees in ages, and this one did.

A definite 5 stars and more!
